Cecelia Ricciotti and the
Philadelphia Aikido Demo Team

Well-Being Through Kokikai Aikido

Sit back, relax and watch an amazing demonstration of the defensive
art of Aikido.

Ricciotti Sensei is a 7th Degree black belt instructor and has been
teaching children and adults in the Philadelphia area since 1978. Under
her direction Philadelphia Aikido has become the largest school within
the federation of Kokikai International. Of special interest to friends of
YRS and the SKY Foundation, Jorge McConnie-Saad (Raymond and
Asima’s son) has become the youngest black belt in the history of the
Philadelphia dojo!

These advanced practitioners will demonstrate how to deflect and
redirect an opponent’s energy so that you remain safe, relaxed, calm
and secure. It requires no forceful blocking, punching, kicking,
screaming or physical dominance. Since it does not depend on
strength or size, Aikido can be mastered by all, regardless of athletic
ability or age.

As you develop a balanced mind/body/spirit connection, your
confidence grows, your compassion for others increases, your sense of
space and time sharpens, and well-being becomes your natural state.

Practice a few hours a week under the direction of an Aikido master like
Ricciotti Sensei, and maybe one day you too will be wearing the black
belt and demonstrating the fluid and graceful movements and throws for
others!
