Yoga Classes

Saturday, November 8, 10:00-11:30 AM

Vijayendra Pratap, Ph.D., D.Y.P.
The Classical Yoga Way to Well-Being

Every Yoga Research Society Conference begins and ends with
Dr. Pratap.

A student of Swami Kuvalayanandaji, he is the Founder/Director of SKY Foundation; President of the Yoga Research Society; Director of the Yoga Program at the Jefferson-Myrna Brind Center of Integrative Medicine; and author of Beginning Yoga, Yoga Vision, Secrets of Hatha Vidya and Stories Retold. For nearly half a century, he has brought Classical Yoga, in its most authentic form, to students, institutions and conferences throughout the world.

As always, this year’s program will include a practical class and a discussion with time for questions and answers. Whether you are new to Yoga, a long-time practitioner, or a teacher yourself, you will surely learn something new and helpful from Dr. Pratap. (To participate fully, dress to stretch and bring a mat.)

- What is Classical Yoga?
- Who can benefit from it?
- How does it lead to a healthy, productive lifestyle?
- Practices will include:

Asanas (posture/seat/attitude)

Pranayama (breath regulation)

Dharana (concentration)

Shavasana (relaxation)

- Question and Answer Discussion.

If you’ve taken a class with Dr. Pratap before, you know that every session is a fresh and rewarding experience. If this will be your first time, you’re in for a real treat!
