Dr. Pratap, a student of Swami Kuvalayanandaji, is Director of the SKY Foundation, President of the Yoga Research Society, Director of the Yoga Program at the Marcus Institute of Integrative Health, and author of “A Teacher’s Guide for Beginning Yoga,” “Yoga Vision,” “Secrets of Hatha Vidya,” “Yoga of Gheranda,” “Stories Retold,” and “Yoga of Goraksa.” Each morning, Dr. Pratap will lead us in Classical Yoga practices and a question and answer discussion. Dr. Coren Apicella, an associate professor of Psychology at the Unversity of Pennsylvania, directs the Human Behavior and Origins Laboratory (HBO) and co-directs the Social And Behavioral Science initiative (SBSI). She studies both hunter-gatherers and Westerners to explore the cultural and biological origins of social behavior. Her work has been published in journals including Nature, and she has been featured in the New York Times, BBC, CNN, NPR and National Geographic’s Brain Games. |
Clint Ober is CEO of EarthFX Inc., a research and development company. His career in cable TV systems culminated in the formation of Telecrafter Corporation which became the largest provider of cable installation services in the United States. For the last two decades, Clint has devoted his life to the support of research studies which collectively demonstrate that grounding reduces inflammation and promotes the normal functioning of all body systems. Clint’s book, Earthing, will be his gift to all the attendees. |
Jesse Lytle is Vice President and Chief of Staff at Haverford College. As Haverford’s first chief sustainability officer, he led the development of a multifaceted strategy to engage the campus and the community on critical sustainability issues and environmental impacts. He is co-founder of the Lower Merion Climate Action Coalition, on the board of the Lower Merion Conservancy, and Chair of Narberth’s Environmental Advisory Council. |
Dr.Yoona Kang is the Research Director of the Communication Neuroscience Lab, Annenberg School for Communication, University of Pennsylvania. Her research investigates the psychological and neural mechanisms that support the development and changes in social cognition, emotions, and health outcomes. She examines converging evidence across a wide range of tools including first person reports, implicit measures, behavioral outcomes, and neuroimaging results (fMRI, fNIRS, EEG). |
A Master of Medical QiGong and Traditional Chinese Medicine, Master Hou is the fifth generation of his family to practice a unique and powerful form of healing.
